Grupo Folclórico da Corredoura
Corredoura, in São Torcato near Guimarães, is known for its strong cultural, religious, and agricultural traditions. Founded in 1956, the Corredoura Folklore Group researches and preserves local customs, music, dance, and traditional 18th–19th‑century attire, considered among the most authentic in the region. The group has performed in major festivals across Portugal and abroad, including the CIOFF Folkloriada in South Korea (2012) and Mexico (2023). A founding member of the Portuguese Folklore Federation and CIOFF Portugal, it also organizes Fest’ In Folk Corredoura – The World Dances in Guimarães, a CIOFF‑certified international festival. The group has been honored with several distinctions, including the Silver Medal of Associative Merit and Public Utility status.
